Penalize teams for falling into the trap

I was watching the hockey games last night and noticed that the dreaded trap was being used by a number of teams. Some games had more faceoffs than shots; boring, boring hockey!

Maybe the NHL should take a page from the NBA's rulebook and start instituting illegal defense. When a team drops back into a 1-2-2 trap, the linesmen or referee should blow the whistle for an illegal defense.

The faceoff would then go into the defending team's end without the ability to change players.

PLEASE GIVE ME BACK THE HOCKEY I LOVE!
