Penguins sign centre Jeff Taffe and goalie John Curry to two-year pacts

Taffe, 26, played 17 games with the Phoenix Coyotes last season and had four goals and two assists. The Minnesotan has spent most of his pro career in the AHL.

Curry, 23, played 36 games for Boston University last season. His 2.01 goals-against average was fourth-best in U.S. college hockey, the Minnesotan posted seven shutouts, and he had a .928 save percentage.
