When Chicago and Minnesota faced off in their Stadium Series game this past weekend, both Blackhawks netminder
Corey Crawford and Wild goaltender
Devan Dubnyk rocked brand new masks to celebrate the occasion. And while that’s all well and good, Red Wings puckstopper
Petr Mrazek wants to take things one step further. Ahead of Sunday’s Stadium Series tilt in Denver, Mrazek has unveiled brand new gear for the outdoor contest. Not just pads, not just a glove and blocker — the whole set. And they’re all branded with the logo Detroit will be wearing for the open-air contest at Coors Field. Check it out:

(Image via Mrazek has done similar designs with his pads before, including
a cross-pad design that put the Red Wings’ Winged Wheel front and center. He also went all out for the 2014 Winter Classic against the Maple Leafs,
wearing red pads with a snowman and snowflake decoration. For this season, he had a
fan design contest his pads and selected the winning design early in the campaign. The pads and gloves won’t be the only gear making its debut at the Stadium Series game for Mrazek, though, as he’s also set to show off a new helmet. He hasn’t put the full design on display yet, so we may have to wait until he hits the ice to get a full look. He did, however, give a sneak peek at the lid and Red Wings fans will recognize a familiar face from the left panel.
