    WINNIPEG - Brandon Pirri scored early in the first period and Hannu Toivonen made 29 saves as the Rockford IceHogs blanked the Manitoba Moose 1-0 on Thursday in the American Hockey League.

    Pirri scored at 5:39 for his fourth of the season for Rockford (7-8-1).

    The loss snapped the Moose's (9-6-1) four-game winning streak.

    Manitoba's Eddie Lack made 29 saves on 30 shots.
