Pittsburgh Penguins re-sign forwards Max Talbot and Erik Christensen

Talbot will earn US$1.35 million over the two years, $650,000 next season and $700,000 in 2008-09. Financial terms were not immediately available for Christensen.

"Max and Erik both made great strides in helping us reach the playoffs last season," Pens GM Ray Shero said in a statement.

Talbot, 23, had 24 points (13-11) and 53 penalty minutes in 75 games last season. Christensen, 23, tallied 33 points (18-15) in 61 games.
