Pittsburgh Penguins sign defenceman Andrew Hutchinson to contract

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed defenceman Andrew Hutchinson to a two-way contract that will pay him US$500,000 if he plays in the NHL next season.

The 30-year-old Hutchinson has 135 games of NHL experience with Dallas, Tampa Bay, Carolina and Nashville. He has recorded 12 goals and 26 assists.

He had nine goals and 38 points in 78 games last season for Texas of the American Hockey League.
