The recently traded-for defenceman took in a FC Spartak Moscow match Wednesday.

Summers are just made for having fun.

That bodes true for any player who gets the opportunity to return to their home country, whether it be Canada or anywhere outside of North America, which for most NHL players is Europe.

In the case of Utah HC defenceman Mikhail Sergachev, he found an opportunity to be a fan for a night in his native Russia; he took in a match for FC Spartak Moscow Wednesday night as they began their journey in the Russia Cup, the national cup competition.

FC Spartak Moscow ended up defeating Dynamo Moscow 3-0 in the 206th meeting in the rivalry between the clubs, called the "Oldest Russian derby".

Sergachev isn't the first Utah HC player -- or group of players -- to take in the sights and sounds of the Beautiful Game.

The prospects of the club also got that opportunity earlier this month as part of development camp to attend a Real Salt Lake match against the Houston Dynamo.

And it's safe to say Maveric Lamoreaux also enjoyed his time; he was mic'd up during that visit to the home of the Claret and Cobalt.

It makes you wonder what it would be like if both of those guys could play soccer.

That would be a pretty cool sight.
