Although there's still much to do ahead of the New York Islanders' 2024-25 season, the club released their preseason schedule:

The last time the Islanders were in New Jersey was on Apr. 16, Game 81 of the NHL season, where their 4-1 victory clinched them a playoff spot.

Sept. 22 will give the Islanders their first look at Sheldon Keefe behind the Red and Black bench. He replaced interim head coach Travis Green, who took over for Lindy Ruff during their season.

The New York Rangers, who fell to the Florida Panthers in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, and the Philadelphia Flyers, who missed the playoffs after a late-season collapse, are the other two opponents, as it's a MetLife Stadium Series preseason only.

The Islanders will play all three of their home preseason games at UBS Arena, while their road games will be at the home arenas of their opponents.
