Predators sign veteran winger Martin Gelinas to $1.25-million, one-year deal
Gelinas, 37, had 44 points (14-30) in 82 games with the Florida Panthers last season while earning $975,000. The native of Shawinigan, Que., has 640 career points (300-340) in 1,216 NHL games over 18 seasons with Edmonton, Quebec, Vancouver, Carolina, Calgary and Florida.
He captured the Stanley Cup with Edmonton in 1989-90.
Gelinas was chosen seventh overall by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1988 NHL entry draft and then traded to Edmonton in the package for Wayne Gretzky on Aug. 9, 1988.
