Phoenix (8-9-2) at NY Rangers (14-7-2), 7:00 pm EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Rangers are great at killing

penalties. The Phoenix Coyotes are inept at converting power

    plays.

The Rangers will look to exploit that advantage when they face

    the Coyotes on Monday.

New York leads the Eastern Conference and is second in the NHL

with an 89.9 percent penalty kill. Phoenix, meanwhile, is

successful on just 14 percent of its power-play chances - the

    second-worst mark in the league.

The Rangers have allowed a power-play tally in each of their

last two games - both losses in which they yielded 10 goals.

During a three-game winning streak before their current slide,

the Rangers had allowed a total of five tallies.

Phoenix is 0-3-2 over its last five games following a 4-3

overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

The Coyotes held the lead in the third period but allowed the

tying goal with 67 seconds left in regulation and squandered the

game-winner early in the extra session.
