TORONTO - Hockey fans can get an inside look at the rivalry between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals on HBO Canada in December.
The four-part expose will be featured on the U.S. reality series, "24/7," and will air simultaneously north and south of the border.
The NHL special follows the rivalry between the Penguins and Caps leading up to their New Year's Day showdown in Pittsburgh.
It's said to chronicle each team's highs and lows, and feature exclusive behind-the-scenes footage along with in-depth interviews of coaches, players and front-office personnel.
This is HBO's first foray into pro hockey. In the past, the "24/7" series has gone behind the scenes with boxers Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather, and NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.
The hockey special debuts Dec. 15 on HBO Canada HD, and will be available on demand and online following its network premiere.
