Red Wings F Danny Cleary sidelined at least a month with broken left ankle
DENVER - The Detroit Red Wings will be without forward Dan Cleary for at least a month after he broke his left ankle on a shot attempt by a teammate Sunday night in Minnesota.
The team recalled forward Jan Mursak from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League before Monday night's game at Colorado.
Cleary was injured in the third period against the Wild when a shot from Brad Stuart struck his ankle. Cleary scored his team-leading 16th goal of the season earlier in the game.
The Red Wings already are without injured forwards Pavel Datsyuk (hand) and Mike Modano (wrist).
