Report: Brent Sutter to take over as coach in Calgary

According to Canadian sports network TSN, Brent Sutter is nearing an agreement with the Calgary Flames to become the team's new coach.

Brent Sutter is brother to Calgary GM Darryl Sutter and speculation as been rampant that the two would unite in Calgary since Brent left the New Jersey Devils after two years earlier this month.

An announcement is expected to be made some time soon.

Brent was 97-56-11 with the Devils, but didn't get out of the first round. Before taking the New Jersey job, Brent was owner, GM and coach of the Red Deer Rebels and also coached the Canadian junior team to two gold medals at the World Junior Championship.
