Report: Gonchar out for extended period, possibly remainder of playoffs

According to a report from Canadian Sports Network TSN, Penguins defenseman Sergei Gonchar will be out the next several weeks, perhaps the rest of the playoffs, with a knee injury.

Gonchar was injured after his knee-on-knee collision with Washington's Alex Ovechkin in Game 4. The Caps star received a minor penalty on the play and the NHL has handed out no supplementary discipline.

The defenseman was unable to get up and put pressure on his knee and left the game immediately.
