Report: Richard Zednik signs with Yaroslavl of Kontinental League

According to a report on RDS.ca, Richard Zednik has come to terms with the Kontinental League's Yaroslavl on a two-year contract.

Zednik, who played with the Florida Panthers this season, was named one of the finalists for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy Thursday after he came back from a sliced neck from the skate blade of teammate Olli Jokinen last season. Zednik scored 17 goals and 16 assists in 70 games this year.

The 33-year-old Slovak was a 10th round pick by Washington in 1994 and has 200 goals and 379 points in 745 career NHL games.
