Robinson named one of three assistant coaches to new Devils head coach Sutter

Robinson and former Devils players John MacLean and Tommy Albelin will serve as assistants to recently appointed head coach Brent Sutter. Jacques Caron will serve as goaltending coach.

"Brent's additions of Larry, John, Tommy, and Jacques as assistant coaches gives our organization a staff that has tremendous knowledge, experience, and success," Devils president Lou Lamoriello said in a statement. "We are all looking forward to the start of training camp."

Robinson, 56, served as the Devils head coach from 2000-02 - leading them to the Stanley Cup title in 2000 - and again for part of the 2005-06 season. Robinson also coached the Los Angeles Kings from 1995-99.
