Ryan Carter claimed on waivers by New Jersey Devils, will join team in Phoenix

NEWARK, N.J. - The New Jersey Devils have claimed forward Ryan Carter on waivers from the Florida Panthers.

The Devils announced the move on Wednesday and said the five-year veteran will join the team on its road trip in Phoenix.

Carter was scoreless in seven games this season. He has 14 goals and 21 assists in 189 career games with Anaheim, Carolina and Florida. The 28-year-old made his pro debut with Portland of the AHL in the 2006-07 season.
