San Jose Sharks recall Jamie McGinn and Torrey Mitchell hopes to join him

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Sharks have recalled left wing Jamie McGinn from their Worcester AHL affiliate for the postseason.

Centre Torrey Mitchell also is hoping to rejoin the Sharks during the postseason after missing the entire regular season with leg injuries.

McGinn had four goals and two assists in 35 games as a rookie with the Sharks this season, frequently filling in for the Sharks' many injured veterans. He also had 30 points in 47 games with the Worcester Sharks.

Mitchell played all 82 games for San Jose as a rookie last season, scoring 20 points. He hasn't suited up this season after breaking his leg on the second day of training camp and then reinjuring it in January.
