San Jose Sharks sign defenceman Rob Davison to one-year deal

The 27-year-old defenceman appeared in 22 games for the Sharks last season and recorded two assists. In 2005-06, Davison had career highs in points (six) and assists (five) while playing 69 games. Additionally, Davison finished third on the team in penalty minutes (76), fourth in blocked shots (65) and fifth in hits (103).

In 161 career NHL games, Davison has 14 points (2-12). He was selected in the fourth round of the 1998 draft by San Jose.
