San Jose Sharks sign forwards Ferriero, Guite to one-year deals

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Sharks have signed forwards Benn Ferriero and Ben Guite to one-year contracts, adding some depth to the end of their roster.

The team announced the moves Friday.

Ferriero played in 33 games for San Jose last season, scoring five goals to go with four assists. He also had the game-winning overtime goal in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against Detroit.

Guite had 47 points for the American Hockey League's Springfield club in 72 games last season. He also had 91 penalty minutes as the team's captain.
