San Jose's Clowe, Detroit's Franzen to miss Game 6 of second-round series

DETROIT - San Jose forward Ryane Clowe will miss Game 6 of the Sharks' second-round series against Detroit.

Coach Todd McLellan says Clowe didn't make the trip to Detroit for Tuesday's night's game because of an upper-body injury. Clowe leads San Jose with 13 points this post-season.

The Red Wings will be without Johan Franzen, who re-injured his left ankle in Game 5. Veteran forward Mike Modano is expected to play after appearing in only one game this post-season, in the first round against Phoenix.

Franzen had 28 goals and 27 assists during the regular season.

Detroit lost the first three games of this series but won Games 4 and 5 by 4-3 scores.
