There's a lot of news going on with the Seattle Kraken these days, especially with the upcoming expansion and entry drafts. Now, we'll know when they'll take to the ice for the first time.
Earlier today, the franchise announced the six-game pre-season schedule that will see them play two games, home and away, against the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and the Vancouver Canucks each in late September and early October.
Seattle's home games will not take place at Climate Pledge Arena, but will be played across the region at the arenas of the Spokane Chiefs, Everett Silvertips, and Seattle Thunderbirds.
The Kraken will host the Canucks at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena on September 26th, the Oilers in Everett at the Angel of the Winds Arena on October 1st, and the Flames in Kent at the accesso ShoWare Center on October 2nd.
The first road game for the Kraken will see them play the Oilers at Rogers Place on September 28th, before playing the Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome on September 29th.
Seattle's first trip of any kind to Vancouver and Rogers Arena will be on October 5th to end the team's pre-season schedule.
The games in the junior markets will give Kraken fans a first look at some of their Pacific Division rivals but also the games vs the Canucks will be the first-ever (pre-season or regular season) between two NHL teams from the Pacific Northwest region of North America.
