Senators aim for fourth straight win vs. Wild

Ottawa (20-25-8) at Minnesota (28-23-3), 8:00 pm EST

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators are still

entertaining dreams of reaching the playoffs for the 12th

straight season.

The Senators will look for their season-best fourth consecutive

victory Saturday, when they square off against the Minnesota

Wild.

Ottawa, which lost four straight before its current surge, is

still a long shot to make the postseason - sitting 16 points out

of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

All-Star Dany Heatley scored twice and Jason Spezza recorded a

goal and an assist as the Senators cruised to a 5-2 triumph over

the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.

Antoine Vermette also netted a goal and set up another and Nick

Foligno added his third tally in four games as Ottawa raised its

record to 3-1-1 under coach Cory Clouston, who replaced the

fired Craig Hartsburg on February 2.

The Wild are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on

Thursday. Defenseman Brent Burns netted a power-play goal,

Mikko Koivu added a shorthanded tally and Antti Miettinen

collected a pair of assists for Minnesota, which fell to 4-2-0

in its last six games.
