Senators' Daugavins returned to minors a day after first NHL goal

OTTAWA - Forward Kaspar Daugavins is being sent to the minors a day after scoring his first NHL goal.

Daugavins was re-assigned by the Ottawa Senators to their American Hockey League affiliate Monday. The move comes after the 23-year-old scored in Ottawa's 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday.

Daugavins was called up to the NHL club Oct. 24.

In four games with the Senators, Daugavins had a goal and four penalty minutes. He has four goals and two assists in seven games with the AHL's Binghamton Senators this season.
