OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators signed left-winger Coline Greening to a three-year contract extension on Monday.

The 27-year-old was set to become an unrestricted free agent following the 2013-'14 season.

Greening make $2 million in 2014-15, $2.75 million in 2015-16 and $3.2 million in 2016-17.

The native of St. John's, N.L., had eight goals and 11 assists with Ottawa in the lockout-shortened 2013 campaign. He added three goals and an assist in 10 playoff games.

The six-foot-two, 217-pound Greening has 31 goals and 38 assists in 153 career NHL games.

Greening, a seventh-round pick in 2005, won a Calder Cup in 2011 with the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators.
