Sharks sign left-winger Jamie McGinn and right-winger Mike Morris

McGinn, 18, from Fergus, Ont., is currently playing for the AHL's Worcester Sharks. In Ottawa this season, he amassed 89 points including 46 goals in 68 regular-season games. In the OHL playoffs, he led Ottawa with five goals in five games.

"Jamie has had a dynamic career in Ottawa in which he's displayed a wide array of skills and a relentless attitude," said Sharks GM Doug Wilson. "He performed admirably in the playoffs for Ottawa and will continue to help Worcester in their pursuit of the Calder Cup.

"His coach in Ottawa, Brian Kilrea, is a legend at the major-junior level and McGinn has and will continue to benefit greatly from their relationship."

The Sharks also announced signing right-winger Mike Morris, 23, an American who just completed his fifth year at Northeastern University. The Sharks selected Morris 27th overall in the 2002 entry draft.
