Source: Sens defenceman Phillips to undergo foot surgery to remove bone spurs

OTTAWA - Veteran Ottawa Senators defenceman Chris Phillips will undergo minor foot surgery to remove bone spurs, a source told The Canadian Press.

Phillips played all 82 regular-season games this year for Ottawa. He recorded eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points.

The Calgary native did not collect any points in Ottawa's first-round series against Pittsburgh. The Penguins won the series in six games.
