Source: Stars are front-runner to acquire Brad Richards

Dallas has emerged as the front-runner to acquire Brad Richards of the Tampa Bay Lightning, according to several sources.

Richards’ agent, Pat Morris, had not been contacted by the Lightning as of 10:20 this morning, but is waiting for the call to find out which offer the Lightning think is best.

Dallas is rumored to be offering goalie Mike Smith and winger Jussi Jokinen as well as possibly defense prospect Mark Fistric.
