Stamkos, Ovechkin and Quick earn NHL's three stars of the week honour

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Forwards Steve Stamkos and Alex Ovechkin along with goalie Jonathan Quick were named the NHL's three stars of the week Monday.

Stamkos overtook the NHL goal-scoring lead by scoring six goals in helping the Tampa Bay Lightning register three straight wins. The first player taken in the 2008 NHL draft currently has 26 goals.

Ovechkin had seven points (five goals, two assists) in helping the Washington Capitals win three of four games. The two-time NHL MVP has 31 points (16 goals, 15 assists) in 37 games so far this season.

Quick posted a 1.33 goals-against average in leading the Los Angeles Kings to a 3-0-0 record. Quick has posted a 17-10-5 record in 32 appearances this season with a 2.05 GAA and .931 save percentage.
