Stanley Cup final to begin Monday in Anaheim after Ducks eliminate Detroit

The Ducks will play the Ottawa Senators for the Cup. Anaheim eliminated the Detroit Red Wings with a 4-3 win in Game 6 of the Western Conference final Tuesday in Anaheim.

Game 2 of the Cup final is scheduled for May 30 in Anaheim. The best-of-seven series will shift to Ottawa for Game 3 on June 2 and Game 4 on June 4.

Game 5, if necessary, will be played in Anaheim on June 6 followed by Game 6 in Ottawa on June 9. If the series goes the distance, Game 7 will take place in Anaheim on June 11.

The schedule gives the Senators a lengthy break. They eliminated the Buffalo Sabres in the Eastern Conference final on Saturday afternoon.

All games will start at 8 p.m. ET.
