Stars activate Ott from injured reserve, put Burish on list with broken left hand

DALLAS - The Dallas Stars have activated forward Steve Ott from injured reserve to replace forward Adam Burish, who is expected to be out at least four weeks with a broken left hand.

Burish was put on injured reserve Thursday, two days after he got hit on the hand by a puck shot by a teammate in a game.

Ott missed six games with a hip injury. He is expected to play Friday night when the Pacific Division-leading Stars are at Colorado.

Burish had three goals and five assists in 16 games. Last season, he missed eight games with a fractured orbital bone and another 11 games because of a lower-body injury.

Ott had two goals and six assists with 25 penalty minutes in 11 games before getting hurt.
