Stars conclude road trip vs. Islanders

Dallas (2-4-1) at NY Islanders (2-3-0) 7:00 p.m. EDT

UNIONDALE, New York (Ticker) -- Rick DiPietro is looking to

build on his last performance while Marty Turco would like to

forget his.

The two goaltenders are expected to face off when the New York

Islanders and the Dallas Stars meet on Thursday.

DiPietro made his season debut for the Islanders on Saturday,

turning aside 34 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Florida Panthers.

The netminder, who received a record 15-year, $67.5 million

contract in 2006, sat out the first four games of the campaign

while recovering from offseason knee and hip surgeries.

Trent Hunter has four tallies to lead the Islanders, who have

recorded nine goals in their two wins - but just two in their

three losses.

Turco and the Stars continued to struggle on Wednesday, dropping

a 5-0 decision to the New Jersey Devils. Dallas is tied with

the winless Philadelphia Flyers with an NHL-high 29 goals

allowed this season.

After a 2-1 victory over the New York Rangers on Monday in which

he made 28 saves, Turco allowed three goals on just 17 shots

against the Devils before being replaced by Tobias Stephan.
