Stars' Lehtinen back from 33-game absence for abdominal injury
DALLAS - The Stars activated Jere Lehtinen for their game Friday night at Edmonton, ending his 33-game absence with an abdominal injury that led to sports hernia surgery.
Lehtinen had been out since Nov. 21. The right-winger had 19 points (six goals, 13 assists) in 21 games before the injury.
Lehtinen led the Stars with 26 goals last season and has seven 20-goal seasons with Dallas, third in franchise history behind Mike Modano (15) and Brian Bellows (10).
