Stars place forward Brenden Morrow on injured reserve after wrist surgery
Morrow, who is out indefinitely, suffered the injury when he was stepped on in the Stars' 2-1 loss to Chicago last Tuesday. The team said the surgery was a success and that he'll be re-evaluated Friday.
In 27 games for Dallas this season, Morrow has 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points. The native of Carlyle, Sask., signed a US$24.6-million, six-year contract over the summer and replaced Mike Modano as team captain.
Morrow has posted 130 goals and 159 assists for 289 points in 479 career NHL regular-season games.
