Stoll Sits: NHL suspends Kings forward Stoll for one game after hit from behind

TORONTO - The Los Angeles Kings won't have forward Jarret Stoll in the lineup for Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the San Jose Sharks.

The NHL suspended Stoll for one game Friday after he hit Sharks defenceman Ian White from behind in the opening game of the best-of-seven series.

The incident occurred at 19:35 of the first period. White left Thursday night's game with an apparent head injury and did not return. Joe Pavelski scored 14:44 into overtime to give the Sharks a 3-2 victory.

Game 2 will be played Saturday night in San Jose.
