Stop the glove drops? Shrink the rosters

Andrew Dryden, Winnipeg, Man.

People want dirty hits and fighting out of the game? The solution is simple: limit the number of players a team can use per game by three.

By removing the fourth line, players who are actually able to contribute to the game sheet in the goals or assists column will be used and, at the very least, reduce frequency of these annoying fights and hits.

Good luck getting the NHLPA to agree, though.

While the owners look out for their own interests, the NHLPA looks out for its, neither of which seems to help those of the fans or the game.
