Sundin a Hall of Famer? Not before Larmer

Stephen Day, Perth, Ont.

In a recent issue of The Hockey News, you noted that anyone who thinks Mats Sundin belongs in the Hall Of Fame should first compare his stats to Pierre Turgeon’s. What about Steve Larmer?

All three players had point-a game-careers, but Larmer played more playoff games and had more playoff success in less seasons.

Larmer played more than 11 consecutive seasons without missing a single game, won rookie of the year, won the Stanley Cup and appeared in another.

Neither of the other two even played in a final and have only one Lady Byng (Turgeon) between the two.
