Taffe leads Rochester Americans over Hamilton Bulldogs 6-5 in shootout

HAMILTON, Ont. - Jeff Taffe scored in regulation and in the shootout as the Rochester Americans won 6-5 over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday in the AHL.

Michal Repik, Shawn Matthias, Michael Duco and Clay Wilson also had goals in regulation for the Americans (24-15-2).

Brock Trotter scored twice in regulation while Ben Maxwell netted a shootout goal and added one in regulation for the Bulldogs (26-10-7).

Mike Glumac and Mathieu Darche had singles for Hamilton, with David Desharnais adding three assists.

Alexander Salak stopped 27 of 32 shots for Rochester.

Cedrick Desjardins made 32 saves for Hamilton.
