Tambellini scores 2 as Moose rally for 3 late goals in 3-1 win over IceHogs

ROCKFORD, Ill. - Jeff Tambellini scored twice as the Manitoba Moose exploded for three goals in under two minutes to beat the Rockford IceHogs 3-1 in American Hockey League on Saturday.

After two scoreless periods, Rockford (5-4-1) took the lead when Ben Smith scored five minutes into the third.

Cody Hodgson kicked off the Moose's scoring run with the tying goal at 15:20.

Tambellini added the winner at 16:15 and scored one more 32 seconds later.

Manitoba (7-5-1) goaltender Eddie Lack made 28 saves for the win, while at the other end Hannu Toivonen stopped 18 shots.
