Tampa Bay opens European tour with 4-1 win over Eisbaren Berlin

BERLIN - Gary Roberts had a goal and an assist and the Tampa Bay Lightning opened their European tour with a 4-1 win over German club Eisbaren Berlin on Sunday.

Olaf Kolzig, a German and former member of Eisbaren Berlin, made 34 saves for the Lightning including 13 in the first period.

The victory raised Tampa Bay's exhibition season record to 4-1.

Tampa Bay next plays against HC Slovan Bratislava in Bratislava, Slovakia on Tuesday. The Lightning then open the regular season against the New York Rangers in Prague, Czech Republic.
