Tampa Bay's Richard Panik suspended for 2 games for boarding Washington's Karl Alzner

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Tampa Bay forward Richard Panik was suspended for two games without pay by the NHL for boarding Washington defenceman Karl Alzner.

Panik was given a major penalty for boarding in the second period of the Lightning's shootout loss Tuesday night in Washington. The suspension will cost him $7,590.
