- Patrick Elias had two points and Martin Brodeur stopped 36 shots for his 96th career shutout.

- Eric Staal had a three-point night and Cory Stillman scored the winner late in the third.

Ottawa 5, Buffalo 3

- Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson had two points each and Dany Heatley scored the game-winner with less than five minutes in the third period.
