The San Jose Sharks sign centre Andrew Murray to a one-year contract

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Sharks signed centre Andrew Murray to a one-year contract Tuesday.

Murray, 29, had eight points (four goals, four assists) in 29 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets last season. He also missed 31 games because of two separate injuries.

In 181 NHL games, all with Columbus, Murray posted 36 points (23 goals, 13 assists) and 32 penalty minutes.
