Thomas? What about Lundqvist, Gerber?

I was shocked on Tuesday when I found out Tim Thomas would be the one to replace Martin Brodeur in the All Star Game. I can name a handful of other Eastern Conference goaltenders who deserve it more.

The first one that comes to mind is Henrik Lundqvist. He has arguably been one of the top goaltenders in the league this year and at the end of the season, will no doubt be a Vezina Trophy candidate for the third year running.

Another name that comes to mind is Martin Gerber. He has been flying under the radar all season, posting solid numbers and he has backstopped his team to the top of the Eastern Conference standings.

I think it's time somebody finally gives this guy the credit he deserves.
