Time to bench Marty

In professional sports, the old adage "you're only as good as your last game" has never been more apparent than in this latest incarnation of the New Jersey Devils.

Although a die-hard fan myself, I'm thinking Marty Brodeur needs a ride on the pine pony, not only for himself, but for the team.

It's no coincidence that upon his return to action, the team has been playing sloppily and extremely loose, expecting him to save the day.

They need a wake up call and firing Brent Sutter won't accomplish that.

Could this be karma for the downright terrible Scott Clemmensen received? I think so.
