Tomas Vokoun is NHL first star of week, Marian Hossa second, Ryan Getzlaf third

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Florida Panthers goaltender Tomas Vokoun stopped 89 of the 91 shots he faced over three games to earn the NHL's first star of the week Monday.

Chicago Blackhawks right-winger Marian Hossa took second star honours while Anaheim Ducks centre Ryan Getzlaf was the third star.

Vokoun went 2-1-0 in his three games last week, which included consecutive shutouts of Calgary and Tampa Bay.

Hossa recorded four goals and two assists in four games last week as the Blackhawks went 3-1.

Getzlaf led all scorers with eight points (two goals, six assists) in four games as the Ducks posted a 2-1-1 record.
