Top stars lead Senators to third straight win
PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Captain Daniel Alfredsson, All-Star
Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza each recorded a goal and an assist
as the Ottawa Senators extended their winning streak to three
games Thursday with a 5-2 triumph over the Philadelphia Flyers.
Nick Foligno and Antoine Vermette also scored for the Senators,
who improved to 2-0-0 on their five-game road trip and 3-1-1
under new coach Cory Clouston.
Rookie Brian Elliott made 34 saves for Ottawa.
Darroll Powe and captain Mike Richards tallied for the Flyers,
who fell to 13-3-2 in their last 18 home games. Richards was
returning from a three-game absence due to the flu.
