Toronto Maple Leafs assign forward Jiri Tlusty to AHL Marlies squad

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs assigned forward Jiri Tlusty to the AHL's Toronto Marlies on Saturday.

The six-foot, 209-pound Tlusty has registered no points in seven games with the Leafs this season.

The native of Slany, Czech Republic, was scheduled to play for the Marlies on Saturday afternoon in their game versus the Quad City Flames at Ricoh Coliseum.
