True Blue

I would like to thank The Hockey News for the article on former NHL goaltender John Blue and his Pacific Pointe Church in the Nov. 6 edition.

It was a very inspiring story that shows there is much more to life than material possessions. After reading the article, I looked up the church on the Internet and sent an email to Mr. Blue about the problems I have been having lately in my life, wondering if he would even send a reply back to me.

Sure enough, within a few hours, I received a reply from Mr. Blue. His response was heartfelt and showed that someone did care enough to empathize with what I was going through.

So thank you, THN, and thanks to Mr. Blue.

You might never have won a Stanley Cup in your career, but you truly are a champion in the game of life.
