Two early power-play goals help Milwaukee get by Hamilton 2-1

HAMILTON - The Milwaukee Admirals jumped out to an early lead and held it for over two periods to beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1 in American Hockey League action Saturday night.

Two first period power-play goals by Antti Pihlstrom and Janne Niskala staked the Admirals to an early 2-0 lead, which the Bulldogs could not overcome.

Marvin Degon scored Hamilton's lone goal in the second period. With the loss, the Bulldogs fell to 8-10-0-3.

Pihlstrom scored his ninth goal of the season just over three minutes into the first period, then Niskala made it 2-0 just three minutes before the end of period with his seventh of the season.

Bulldogs netminder Yann Danis made 32 saves on 34 shots, while Milwaukee goalie Pekka Rinne made 23 saves on 24 shots for the win.
